Playing something new can be one of the biggest challenges for
any musician. Whether the limiting factor is a creative rut, not
enough technical skill, or something else, we all get stuck in
those spots where it feels like we're playing the same thing over
and over again...

It's sometimes easy to point out the problem that's getting you
stuck, but getting out is often the real challenge! As I was
thinking about ways to create something new and get creativity
flowing, I realized that sometimes repetition actually works to
get you to STOP repeating yourself.

What I mean is that sometimes repetition can look like too many
unfocused notes just pouring out, but if you intentionally limit
yourself and repeat in practice (like I'll show in this video),
you might find yourself discovering new things and renewing
focus. Check it out!
