MORE NEWS:

Following a hiatus of several years, another Hungarian lady, Diána Gyöngyösi has managed to acquire the coveted fourth stripe for the epaulet of her pilot’s uniform, thus becoming a captain for the Boeing 737 NG aircraft type. Diána flew her first trip as captain on the Heraklion-Budapest route, with a Travel Service Boeing 737-800. She was in for quite a surprise at Budapest Airport, as the fire service welcomed her with a water canon salute, and her husband, András Zénó Gyöngyösi was waiting for her at the bottom of the stairs with a huge bouquet of flowers. Husband and wife are both aviation enthusiasts; Diána is a member of the women’s national team in gliding, whilst András is the president of the Hungarian Gliding Association. Congratulations to Diána Gyöngyösi, the new Hungarian Boeing captain!
